About ApriliaFutura.co.uk

The Aprilia RST1000 Futura was never produced in vast numbers and it's fair to say that its rarity is one of the things that make it attractive to owners. But sometimes it's not easy owning and running a rare motorcycle.

If something goes wrong with the bike it can be a nightmare finding out how to fix it or even where to start. Sometimes what seems to be a problem isn't a problem at all and is just a matter of unfamiliarity with the bike - most of us have accidentally tipped the kill switch and wondered why the thing won't start at some time or another!

Captain FuturaThis website aims to take away at least some of the pain by covering the basic technical issues, as well as suggesting modifications and pointing to where you can find more detailed information.

The site is aimed at existing owners as well as being a source of information for owners and those looking to buy a used Futura.

But most of all this site aims to celebrate the Aprilia RST1000 Futura, probably the best sports tourer ever built by any manufacturer and a bike that inspires love and loyalty for so many of its owners.

Simplicity is the key - It's meant to be easy to use and to work in all browsers across all platforms. I've tried my best to make things as easy to understand as possible but there's always room for improvement so if you have any suggestions do get in touch.

Apriliafutura.co.uk was launched in December 2008. and since then positive feedback, comments and support I've received from fellow riders (and even Aprilia dealers!) around the world has been amazing. Many of you have sent me or suggested content and I'm doing my best to include as much of it as possible on the site. In addition the site made it to the top of Google pretty quickly, which certainly helps!

Unfortunately 2009 turned into a difficult year for me (2010 didn't start much better!) and I didn't get the chance to update the site very much. But things are on an even keel again and expect some big changes to the site in the coming few months, starting with the latest update.

In the meantime if you have any ideas, suggestions or material that will help make this site better, then don't hesitate to contact me.

If you have any more questions, then take a look at the website FAQ page.

Otherwise - enjoy!

Captain Futura
