The owners’ manual for the Futura says don’t use it except in an emergency.

So don’t. Unless it’s an emergency.

Turn the bike on and off using the key.

If you do trip it accidentally, the EFI light will flash and usually the word OFF appears on the dash readout.

It’s also the first thing to check if the bike doesn’t start.
